<1> Royal Commission on Historical Monuments (England), 1970, An Inventory of Historical Monuments in the County of Dorset, Volume II (South East) Part 2, 239 (Monograph). SDO149.
‘(353) COTTAGE, at Oakley (019986), of two storeys with brick walls and ashlar dressings and a slate-covered roof, was built in the mid 19th century. Fragments of an earlier building of the 16th or early 17th century of carstone rubble with ashlar quoins survive in the E. gable wall.’
