<1> Royal Commission on Historic Monuments, 1970, An Inventory of Historical Monuments in the County of Dorset, Volume III (Central) Part 2, 159 (Monograph). SDO136.

‘Unless otherwise described the following monuments are two-storied and have walls of roughly coursed rubble, and tiled roofs; they are of the 18th century. … (55) Cottages, two adjacent (78161892), are probably of the late 18th century. Inside, a door of vertical outer and horizontal inner planks, fastened with iron studs and hung on ornamental wrought-iron hinges, was probably brought from elsewhere.’
