(ST 409040) Childhay Farm. (1)

Childhay farmhouse is a two storeyed building of ashlar rubble and brick. The main hall block, the kitchen wing to the north of it, and the east porch between them are all late 15th century.
The two-storeyed embattled porch is a good example of late Medieval work.

In the 17th century the hall block was lagely rebuilt, the kitchen wing was extended on the west, and a single-storey wing was added on the north side.

There are modern extensions on the south and a modern west porch. (2-3)
