Summary

Late sixteenth century farmhouse, with nineteenth century extension at south end. Flint and dressed stone walls, with stone base and clay-tile roofs with stone gable-copings and moulded kneelers.

Full Description

West Cruxton Farmhouse, situated nearly one mile SSE of Maiden Newton Church, is a 16th century two-storey building of coursed ashlar and flint with central, north and south porches of three storeys. The NW end of the house has three original buttresses and the NE porch has a doorway with moulded jambs and a four-centred arch. <1>

(SY 60259654). West Cruxton Farmhouse is now known as Cruxton Manor. The house has been recently modernised but retains its original character. <2>
