Full Description
(Area centred at: SY 55869451) A series of pronounced Md. strip lynchets on the N.W. and S.E. slopes of a narrow combe. The lynchets are from 0.5 to 3.5m. high, and the terraces 5.0m. to 10.0m. wide. The area is grass covered, and partly visible on AP RAF/CPE/UK/2431/4151. <2>
A system of parallel strip lynchets of probable medieval origin lie to either side of a narrow combe to the east of Eggerton Hill Farm. The features are visible as earthworks on aerial photograph <3>.
