Please read our .

Summary

An enclosure visible as crop marks on aerial photographs. The enclosure is an irregular oval approximately 180 by 120 metres, and probably dates to the late prehistoric. Faint crop marks in the vicinity suggest it may be part of a larger complex of features.

Full Description

A close-ended double ditched boundary presumably from a Late Prehistoric enclosure adjacent to a small possibly sub-rectilinear enclosure seen as cropmarks in 2007 aerial photography <2> (ST 9106 1251).

Its possible that the double ditched feature forms an enclosure with a wide ditch seen to the north on Google Earth <3>. Therefore the smaller enclosure would likely be a feature within this wider enclosure. It is also a possibility that these features relate to the potential windmill site immediately adjacent (912377).
