Full Description
The remains of at least two buildings along the Castle Street frontage were excavated by Poole Museum in 1973, as part of the Old Orchard Car Park site. Only part of the rear of these buildings was excavated. They survived as chalk and limestone wall footings only. These buildings probably dated to the fifteenth or sixteenth century. A well lay just outside one of the houses and was probably contemporaneous with it. (1)
