An area of earthworks, which may be military in origin and of Second World War date, is visible on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the north of Manor Bay. The earthworks consist of five sub-rectangular banks, possibly the remains of building bases, ten possible bomb craters and three ditched boundaries. The features are visible over an area measuring approximately 80 m by 35 m. (1) The site is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
