Full Description
A possible Second World War Heavy Anti-Aircraft Battery is visible on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the south of Boscombe Overcliff Drive. Three semi-circular gun emplacements are visible as earthern banks. One has a structure within it, possibly the remains of a gun mounting. (1) The site is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
