Full Description
Two ring ditches, which may be late post medieval or modern in origin, are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs of the 1940s between Martello Road South and Western Road. The ditches enclose areas measuring 6 m and 9 m. (1) The features appear crisp on photographs of the 1970s, suggesting that they may be recent in origin. (2) The most recent comprehensive imagery available to the project shows that the area has been built over. (3) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
