Full Description
An area of late Prehistoric field boundaries is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1947 to the east of Warren Hill, Hengistbury Head. The boundaries are visible as banks over an area measuring approximately 206 m by 110 m. They are oriented north west-south east and east-west and measure up to 206 m in length. The boundaries form fragments of two possible enclosures and may be the remains of a larger system. (1) The site is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
