Full Description
A group of parallel linear banks and ditches are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of Arne Heath taken in 1947 (1). It is possible they could be the remains of post medieval extractive activity. Alternatively they could have a natural origin. They were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). These features are still partially visible as earthworks on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery availabel to the project (2).
