Full Description
A circular depression, approximately 7.6m in diameter, is visible as a submerged feature on aerial photographs of Wych Channel (1), located just to the west of Long Island. It is considered possible it could be the remains of a bomb crater associated with Second Word War activities in this area. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). It is not visible on the most recent comprehensive imagery available to the project (2).
