Full Description
Four dispersed extractive pits of possible late post medieval date are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of 1999 in Durlston Country Park, Swanage. The quarries are located on limestone, under tree cover and visible as pits over an area measuring approximately 75 m by 70 m. (1) This site was digitally plotted during the South west Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
