Full Description
Two extractive pits of possible late post medieval to modern date are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the north of Round Down, Swanage. The quarries are located on limestone, and measure approximately 9 m by 7 m and 7 m by 5 m. (1) This site was digitally plotted during the South west Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
