A series of small extractive pits associated with post medieval industrial activity at Kimmeridge Bay (alum works and glass works) are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 (1). The features were digitally mapped as part of the the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
