A circular hollow, 4m across, surrounded by a ring of spoil, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs at Seacombe Bottom, Worth Matravers. It is possibly the site of a post medieval extractive pit or a Second World War bomb crater (1). The site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
