Summary

A north-south orientated linear bank and ditched feature is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and Lidar imagery of Bindon Hill. It is considered possible this could be the remains of a slit trench associated with Second World War activity in this area. Similar features are located further to the east (see MWX4220).

Full Description

A north-south orientated linear bank and ditched feature is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (1-2) and Lidar imagery (3) of Bindon Hill. It is considered possible this could be the remains of a slit trench associated with Second World War activity in this area. Similar features are located further to the east (see MWX4220). These features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
