A linear feature is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1947, running parallel with the westen side of The Cobb and offshore for 191m (1). It is marked as a pipeline on the OS 1:10,000 scale map. The feature is visible on 2006 Google Earth imagery. It was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
