Full Description

A modern pier is visible as a structure on aerial photographs taken in 1962 to the south of Holton Clump. The structure extends towards the south east for a distance of 141m and is likely to have been linked by rail to the nearby cordite factory at Holton Heath (MDO8224)(1) Part of the jetty is visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2/3) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
