Full Description
A line of Second World War anti-tank cubes are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1942 to the west of Burton Freshwater. It is one of several lines of beach defences including a mine field (MDO29622) and possible barbed wire entanglements (MDO29623). The cubes were removed soon after the end of the war (1). The features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
