Full Description
A series of military buildings dating to the Second World War are visible as extant structures on aerial photographs taken in 1948 (1). Approximately 20 buildings were identified around the edge of two fields to either side of Common Lane. The features are assumed to be accomodation associated with the military site described in MDO29651. The field to the south of the lane is now completely overgrown, it is potentially possible that some subsurface features may still survive. The features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
