A possible Second World War bomb crater is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the east of the Royal Naval Hospital site, Castletown, Portland. The crater is sub-circular and measures 12 m in diameter. (1) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
