Full Description
This barrow is 19 paces in diameter and 2.5 feet in height. On arable 1953. <2>
The West Hill Group of round barrows consist of: (D) Bowl (?) (70268464) 95 yds. NE of (C). Diameter 57ft, height 2ft. <3>
'D' - SY 70268464. Ploughed over. Diameter 19.0m approximately; height 0.8m. None of the barrows has a visible ditch. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <4>
Bronze Age barrow, visible as a low earthworks on aerial photographs. One of a group of barrows on West Hill. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.<7>
