A linear ditch is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs of Lanehouse, Weymouth taken in 1947 (1). It appears to respect the modern field pattern and is considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval field boundary. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
