A pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of Wyke Regis, Weymouth (1). It is considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval extractive pit. A similar feature is located just to the west (MDO23288) and may be contemporary with it. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). It is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project.
