Full Description
A pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of Littlesea Holiday Park, Chickerell, taken in 1947 (1). It is considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval extractive pit. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). It is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial photographs available to the project, having since been built over by a modern holiday park.
