Full Description
Second World War beach defences are visible on aerial photographs of 1941 and 1942 along the beach front at Bournemouth. The beach defences appear to have been removed later during the Second World War and replaced with scaffolding further to the south. They extend from Cliff Gardens to Branksome Chine. (1-3) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
