Summary

Earthworks of the manorial settlement around the site of a medieval manor house. The earthworks include traces of the foundations of the manor house, several closes and platforms, and a feature identified as a probable fishpond.

Full Description

A manorial settlement at Court farm. The Manor House was standing prior to 1587 and demolished around 1830. Its foundations remain as earthworks. The settlement also includes a fishponds, outbuildings and a granary. (Hutchins)

The field where this manor house stood is now under grass but contains two level platforms which may have some association. (Rigg 1952)
