The probable site of a Second World War bomb crater is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs taken in 1959 on Winfrith Heath (1). The site of the feature has since been built over by an access road and no longer visible on the most recent Google Earth imagery. The site was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
