Full Description
Two post medieval or early twentieth-century quarries are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 on Burton Heath (RAF 1946). The site of one quarry is under modern tree-planting and no longer visible on the most recent Google Earth imagery, the other has been levelled and partially built over. The site was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
