Full Description
The probable site of a Second World War bomb crater is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1959 to the north-east of Whitcombe Hill, Winfrith Newburgh. (1). The features are no longer visible on the most recent Google Earth imagery. The site was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
