Full Description
An 'old Chalk Pit' associated with the site of a post medieval lime kiln is marked on the OS 1st Edition map to the east of Newburgh Farm. Chalk pits are visible as low earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar in this vicinity. The site was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
