Full Description
'A' and 'B' are both bowl barrows with no trace of ditch. A pit to the west of barrow 'B(appears to be a 'swallow hole'. <1>
This barrow was 28 paces in diameter and 4.5 feet in height. <2>
'A' - SY 70588482. Bowl barrow. 75ft. diameter by 4 1/2 ft. high. Grinsell's (Bincombe No 47). <2> <4>
'A' - SY 70598481. Ploughed over. Diameter 30.0m. approximately, height 1.0m. No visible ditch. ... 'A' and 'B' re-surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <5>
Bronze Age barrow, visible as a low earthworks on aerial photographs. One of a group of barrows on West Hill. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project. <8-10>
