Monument record MDO3043 - Bowl Barrow, west of Whitcombe Barn Plantation, Winterborne Came

`A'. Bowl barrow on W. slope of spur near parish boundary with Whitcombe. Now oval, 55ft N-S by 80ft E-W, owing to ploughing; height 1.5ft. <3>

'A' - SY 70378649. Diameter 23.0m, height 0.5m. Maximum. Neither barrow shows visible evidence of a ditch, and both remain under plough. Published Surveys (1:2500) revised. <4>

Ploughed down barrow in ley pasture. Also visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. <7-8>
