Summary

Bovington Camp has been a training camp since 1916 and is the home of the Armoured Forces of the British Army. A small group of rectilinear mounds are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1945 in the vicinity of Andover Green. They are considered to be the sites of air-raid shelters or bunkers.

Full Description

Bovington Camp has been a training camp since 1916 and is the home of the Armoured Forces of the British Army. A small group of rectilinear mounds are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1945 in the vicinity of Andover Green (1). They are considered to be the sites of air-raid shelters or bunkers. The features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
