A circular pit and associated trackway are visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs of a field just to the south of Lytchett Matravers (1). It is considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval extractive pit or pond. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
