A pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the northern part of Holton Heath, Wareham St Martin (1). It is considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval extractive pit. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial photographs available to the project.
