A circular hollow is visible on aerial photographs of Gore Hill, Wareham St Martin (1-2). It is considered likely to be the remains of a bomb crater associated with Second World War military activities in this area. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project.
