Two circular hollows are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of Wareham Forest, Wareham St Martin (1). They are considered likely to be the remains of post medieval extractive pits. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. They are not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project, this area now being under modern plantation.
