Two areas of medieval or post medieval ridge and furrow are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the north of Burleston. The ridges are oriented south west-north east and are visible over an area measuring approximately 230 m by 175 m. They may have been part of a cultivation system with an area of strip lynchets located immediately to the south (see MDO583). (1) This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
