Full Description

Medieval or post medieval trackways or field boundaries are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery of 2008 to the east of Ulwell. Two north-south oriented linear banks, one with an associated ditch, are visible over an area measuring approximately 315 m by 90 m. (1) The features are located in the same area as a possible First World War hospital site, or early modern agricultural site, but appear to be earlier in form (see MWX852). These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
