Full Description
An area of trackways, which may be early modern or Second World War in date, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of 1946 on Godlingston Heath, Studland. The trackways may be military in origin and associated with a Y-shaped possible tank training track located immediately to the east (see MDO30858). The trackways are formed of linear banks and ditches, predominantly oriented south west-north east. They are visible over an area measuring approximately 525 m by 225 m. (1-2) These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
