A pit visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of Beacon Heath, Lynchett Minster (1). It is considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval extractive pit. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is still visible as a water-filled earthwork on the most recent Google Earth imagery.
