A post medieval extractive pit, or Second World War bomb crater, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1951 to the south of Wadmore Lane, Studland. The pit or crater is sub-circular in shape and measures 11 m in diameter. (1) This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
