Full Description
A series of parallel lynchets are visible as low earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs to the east of Hyde Wood, Steeple. The features may be prehistoric or medieval strip lynchets although a geological origin cannot be ruled out (1-3). They are still visible on the latest Google Earth imagery and were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck NMP.
