A post medieval to modern extractive pit or Second World War bomb crater is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1945, to the north of Kite Hill Plantation, Affpuddle. The pit is sub-circular in shape and measures 6 m in diameter. (1) This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
