Two post medieval to modern extractive pits are visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1947 within Moreton Plantation, Affpuddle. The pits are located on an area of gravel, silt and sand and measure between 12 m by 10 m and 64 m by 19 m. (1) These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
