The probable site of a post medieval or early 20th century extractive pit is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 within Lodge Wood, East Lulworth (1) . The site was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is under trees and no longer visible on the latest Google Earth photographs.
