A rounded hollow is visible as very low earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 to the south of Ball Coppice, East Lulworth. It is considered to be a post medieval extractive pit (1). The features are still partially visible as very low earthworks on recent Google Earth imagery; they were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
